How we arrived in the KZN Midlands

KZN Midlands Photographer

(written on the plane from CPT to Durbs)

The hardest journey starts with the first step………Technically speaking, we took our first step 6 months ago.  We just didn’t realise it at the time.I have had the ongoing feeling that my heart is at peace which means for me, that we (I) have made the right choice.  Since visiting the Midlands for the first time at the end of November 2012 for Judy and Richards wedding, things have moved incredibly fast.  It sometimes feels that the Universe has served this up on a platter.  I can almost hear the wind whispering;  “it’s yours, take it, you’ve wished so long for it, the opportunity is here and it’s yours”!!!Luckily Jace feels exactly the same ~ if not even more so.  I have never, in the 10 years we’ve been married, known him to be so moved, so excited and so passionate about something.it’s been a whirlwind 6 weeks.  Gone in a blur.  I’ve tried so hard to be ‘in the moment’ as much as possible but things just took on a life of their own.  The packing, the emotions, booking the wrong flight from JHB to Durbs, losing the boys birth certificates, messing up dates.  The build up to the big departure.  And getting sick!  Shitty to feel so revolting for my last 6 days in Cape Town but that’s how it is.And now, saying goodbye to my two precious people ~ Mom and Carrie at the airport.  I’m sitting here thinking ~ am I crazy?   How can I possibly contemplate leaving two of my dearest hearts.  And the rest, apart from family; Tom, Hayls, Annie, Gilly, Elina, Craig and Markie, Rob, Sam and Steve, Giggles, Boks and a few more – you guys all made leaving incredibly difficult.  Love you long time…..

And another chapter begins
